Sex With Staff Member

A St. Louis high school student says a staff member talked her in to having sex in the boy's locker room. The girl's mother says her daughter wasn't physically forced to have sex, but she says that doesn't matter, and police agree. They are investigating this as a statutory rape case. The girl is a sixteen-year-old sophomore at Sumner High School, and that's where she says this happened at the beginning of the school year. She told her mother the staff member told her to meet him in the boy's locker room where the act allegedly took place. After that, she said the man wouldn't leave her alone, even calling her at her home and following her after school. The mother says her daughter has heard other students say that this isn't the first time this happened with girls at the school, and she's hoping they will come forward. "She's a teenager. But as a mom, I'm a parent, you are a grown man. You have no right to go and do that. You have no right at all. And yet you're a staff at a school. He's a staff at a school," said the girl's mother, who didn't want to be identified. Police say the man they are investigating is 24-years-old. The school district will only say they are aware of the situation and taking steps to insure the safety of students, and that they can't comment on any personnel matters.
