Internet gossip site, Gawker, on Wednesday (02/09/2011), preaching, Republican congressman, Christopher Lee, send photos via e-mail to a woman who he got from the ad in the Craigslist Web site.
Lee twice elected to represent a district in the State of New York. Lee (46) sends a statement to that site with his resignation with immediate effect. The statement did not mention that the report on the internet. "I regret evil consequences of my actions to the family, staff, and my constituents," said Lee.
Claimed to have divorced
A woman from Maryland, the status of civil servants and the 34-year-old, gave Gawker messages via e-mail. According to her, the action of exchanging messages with Lee for answering ads placed women in the "Women Seeking Men" on Craigslist, classified advertisement website.
According to Gawker sites, Lee said he was a lobbyist who has been divorced, and then send a picture of him posing in front of the mirror. The woman was cut off contact with Lee because of suspicion that Lee had lied about her status. Lee has a wife and a son who is still young. (AP / Reuters / DI)
